I adore Sophie LaBelle’s comic Assigned Male, and when she announced she was making a Halloween zine (Hallowzine?), I preordered the crap out of it.
“Help! Everything in my life is turning GAY” is one of the few comics told from the perspective of Frank, Stephie’s boyfriend who is cisgender and straight. As Frank explains, ever since he met Stephie and her friends, his life has become much more fabulous and socially conscious.
This isn’t a horror story in the least, but if you need a kid-friendly autumn story with queer, trans, and non-binary characters, this is a great choice. I’m also very fond of “Ciel at Camp Fabulous,” which has my favorite ghost story ever in it.
